FOOTHILL FELINES NEKO!!

Within a few weeks after their drive home to San Rafael, California, together, Bruce wrote us this about Neko: "We get along great. Though he wakes me up every morning at about 6 a.m. kneading and pawing any bare skin he can find, including my face. But he's such a cutie, I don't mind too much! He's lots of fun, and very curious about everything. Seems pretty fearless, and isn't afraid of new people at all. The Vet gave him an A+ for his health when we went to see him. He's scheduled to go back next Saturday for a couple of booster shots. I'm still thinking of getting another kitty to keep him company, and to take some of the pressure off me in trying to keep him entertained! He's a great jumper and absolutely loves the Whirly-Bird toy you gave us. Thank you for checking up on us. I was going to write sooner, but he keeps me very busy, and doesn't let me sit still for too long. In fact, he's walked across the keys a couple of times while I type this!"

And, more recently, "Everything's going very well here. Neko is doing great, and growing quickly, and quite the handful, too! He's even playing fetch now everyday. And he actually initiates the game sometimes by bringing me his favorite fetch toy to throw for him. It's really cute. I think he thinks he's a puppy! He's had all his boosters now, so the next trip to the Vet won't be until he gets neutered around 5 months old... The last time he was at the Vet he weighed 4.6 pounds, which was almost a pound more than the time before 2 weeks earlier. The Vet said most cats average about a pound a month, so he's growing really fast if that's the case. He might grow to be a big, big boy!"
