FOOTHILL FELINES MAVI!!

Mavi is a delightful blue spotted Bengal female, born February 21, 2001, to Gogees Marshamelo of Foothill Felines and Gogees Michabo of Foothill Felines, a pairing that produced 5 delightful spotted kittens, 3 of which were blues - the first blue Bengals here at Foothill Felines!! From the start, Mavi was ultra-affectionate, doing head-butting, lots of purring and rubbing against us, and showing us an incredibly loving purr-sonality. We wanted to be sure she went to a family who would give her all that love back, and appreciate her special qualitites. We certainly found that family in Gulay and Ian M. of Folsom, CA.

This delightful couple had just recently relocated to Folsom, CA, from the Texas area, due to a job transfer for Ian. They were new to the area, and Gulay's family was very far away - in Turkey!! So, with lots of time and attention to give to a special kitty, it was our absolute delight to introduce Mavi to Gulay and Ian. The result?? Love at first sight, of course!! Several weeks later, Mavi went home with her new parents. Gulay sent new baby pictures and announcements out to all their friends and relatives, and wrote: "Here are some pics of our "Wonder Kitten" MAVI. Her name means "blue" in Turkish. She is also a Blue Bengal so it fits with her breed too! She is incredibly affectionate, intelligent and already responds to her name (we've been saying her name non-stop that might have something to do with it!) In the future, we might even get her to fetch! That is a characteristic that many bengals have, I'm told. As you'll notice, Mavi has some beautifully distinct round spots on her belly and sides (they are called rosettes), that her ancestor the Asian leopard cat passed on to her."
