FOOTHILL FELINES MAJOR SPOTS!!

"Major Spots" is an adorable Savannah male, born July 11, 2004 to our Savannah female SelectExotics Sandy Spots of Foothill Felines, and Simbaspride "Major" Mews of Foothill Felines. Andrew Ball and his wonderful family, in southern California, already had several pets, including retired Foothill Felines Ceri (a full sister and littermate to our first home-bred stud, Foothill Felines Metallica), and one of Ceri's daughters, Cleo. This family was excited about adding a Savannah kitten to their home, and came up with the fantastic name "Major Spots" for this beautiful boy. Andy and his family wrote us several updates and have sent us some wonderful photos of their new boy also. "Hi Holly! I've attached a picture of Major Spots in Victoria's lap on the ride home so you can see for yourself how he did!

"As for here, Major Spots is finding his way around; we were just talking about how every time we turn around he is on a different chair or under a different sofa. He does the most incredible back flips, jumping (quite high) while playing with a couple of his toys, including the fly-fishing toy you sent along with him. However, the girls and the Major are still spending a lot of time at opposite ends of the house. Ceri is still hissing ferociously and Cleo had a fit when she smelled Major Spots on her brush. (Ceri won't even climb on the cat tree because the Major has been sleeping at the top.)

"Major Spots has certainly put on weight just in the past few days. He is eating TONS (including the girls' food) which is keeping Ceri & Cleo from eating (at least while we're around). The saddest thing to see is that Major Spots really wants to befriend the girls, he watches them and sometimes he tries to go up to them but they just hiss and run away. I think he misses the company; though at night he purrs really LOUD! He has mostly been sleeping on Victoria's bed but we've heard him exploring during the night. More pictures to come soon!"

And, about 2 months later, Andy wrote: "Major is just like a baby: he eats and poops all day long; he is either sleeping or running (or leaping or bouncing or pouncing)at full speed! We've gone through 4 or 5 feather toys. I think it's time to get Major Spots a harness -- do you have one that will suit him? Here's a collection of photos taken over the last couple of weeks."
