FOOTHILL FELINES TSUNAMI OF GLACIER TAILS!!
(Formerly "Lover Boy")

Tsunami is now part of a special Bengal breeding program up in Juneau, Alaska. He was very carefully selected by Howard and Kathy Ensor for his wonderful bloodlines, physical beauty and terrific temperament. The Ensors came down to California for the holidays, and picked up Lover Boy in person. Here are some updates from them:

Week 1 - "Just wanted to let you know that we are back home again safe & sound. How did Michelle do getting back to Anchorage with Monet? The Seattle airport was an absolute nightmare with stranded travelers. "Lover-Boy" is very attached & devoted to us already! He traveled very well in the car while we drove from Sacramento to Salem to Seattle. He did let Howard know once that he was driving too fast for him when he stretched himself up to his ear & let out a very loud "meow"! Otherwise, he just snuggled up taking turns sleeping on our laps. He didn't mind being caged up in his kennel when it was time to fly on the plane back home and seemed to know that he was safe & was trusting of both Howard & I. He insists on sleeping with us (guarding us)."

"The cats are all getting along pretty good now. When he first saw Precious, he jumped & ran right over to her (I think he kinda missed his brothers/sisters a little bit) but she hissed & ran from him so he then started hissing at her. He is almost as big as her! Lover-boy has a very solid build & Precious is still petite. They had their stare-downs & are now playing tag chasing each other all over the house. Cosby just lays back & watches them & looks relieved that Precious isn't bugging him so much anymore now that she has a playmate. I will plan on taking him to visit our veterinarian in the next 2 wks when he will be due for his 16 wk booster. I'll see if they will sit still long enough to get pictures to send you too. I am extremely happy & satisfied with Lover-Boy! Hope all is going well & will stay in touch!"

Week 2 - "Since we have been back to Juneau it has been snowing like crazy! I'm back to working over-time again to catch up on over-due reports awaiting my return when I really want to be home with my Lover-Boy! He's not alone for long though since Howard works nights while I work days so we can each take credit in spoiling him! We have been talking about the need for a bigger bed since each cat has claimed their territory with sleeping with us now!"

"Thank you so much for the extra twirley feathers for the wand! Lover Boy & Precious are very courteous now in taking turns with each other jumping & doing their spins in the air to catch the fly so that the other can have equal time & fun. The first fly is already worn out since it didn't take long for Lover-Boy to discover where the hiding place was for his toy & enlisted Cosby in helping him reach an area he wasn't quite big enough to get at yet. They out-smarted us! We'll need to put it away inside the closet for safe keeping after each play session now."

"Thanks again Holly for raising an extremely good-natured kitten! He just turns to jello each time we pick him up & is definitely a wonderful lap-cat! Hope all the M & M's continue to do well!"

Late in June, 1999, Kathy wrote us again and said, "I have officially named Lover Boy "Foothill Felines Tsunami". Isn't he gorgeous?" She sent us this photo of Tsunami at 9 months old. We have to agree - he IS absolutely gorgeous!! Notice the blackness of his spots, the wonderful random pattern, and he has still kept that incredible white color to his underside and belly!!

In September 2000, Kathy wrote us with wonderful news: "Hi Holly, Hope all is going well with the M&M's! I am happy to announce that we were successful in our breeding between Tsunami and Precious & have 3 very healthy, absolutely adorable boys born June 25, 2000. They all appear to be of breeding quality with one showing promise of being show quality. They look very much like Tsunami with their markings & difficult to tell apart from each other except one has a little white spot on his ear and the other being slightly smaller than his 2 brothers. The smaller of the three is very much a lap kitty who insists on claiming my lap when I'm sitting down. (I might have a difficult time parting with him!) Precious has proven to be an excellent momma and they all have Tsunami's wonderful purr-sonality! They are showing the true Bengal inquisitive yet terroristic nature, I've seen paper bags zooming down the stairs and my throw carpets prancing across the living room! I give up trying to put a puzzle together (that's a favorite pastime toy to them) and plants don't even stand a chance!"
