Marian U. was looking for a special, loving spotted Bengal female kitten to join her family (which already included an adult, neutered majestic male Bengal named Frazier, a son of SGC Heritage Kimo) in San Francisco, CA. We found her just the right kitten in lovely Ezri Dax!!
Marian was kind enough to give us lots of updates on her new addition: "I don't know what Frazier said to Ezri when they first met . . . now everytime she sees him she looks like a little porcupine and walks sideways. Oh, Frazier was sooooo angry with me . . . he spent much of the time watching Ezri from a distance . . . this morning things are better he is strutting around with his chest out . . . Ezri is watching from a distance. I suspect that by tonight or by Friday (for sure) they will be chasing each other down the hall and it will sound like the Mongol hord is back. Took the day off today."
And, "Hi . . . Ezri and I spent another night on the couch. She is the sweetest most loving kitten! Frazier has always been a very male sort of distant kinda cat . . . you had to force hugs and kisses on him . . . I sensed he liked the attention but didn't want to show it except for the very loud purring. Today Frazier began to warm up to Ezri and Ezri would have nothing to do with him. He got very close at one point and she flicked her tail at the wrong time and hit Frazier in the face. Now we have to start all over. I'm having a great time watching this interaction."
Then, "Hooray!!!! They started playing yesterday . . . it's funny because Frazier is so big and Ezri is so tiny . . . he tries to be gentle with her but sometimes he forgets. Went to the vet this morning . . . everything is okay! She told me I was very lucky that I found a good breeder and that I have a healthy kitten. She is seeing more and more Bengal kittens come in, because of their popularity . . . some are not healthy and some haven't been properly socialized with humans. We took a trip home last weekend . . . considering Frazier and Ezri had been together for about a week and a half, everything went quite well. She had no problems with the car. Now I take both of them on short trips on foggy days. They love Trader Joe's parking lot-always has birds around. Ezri is a delight! This morning I woke to find both of them beside me cleaning each other!" Marian also sent us these great photos of young Ezri with her new pal, Frazier, and Ezri with one of her beloved fishing fly toys!!
