FOOTHILL FELINES CAPPUCCINO!!

Cute leopard male with lots of color at 5 weeks old - he picked out his new mommy!

Cappuccino (or "Cappy" for short) is an absolutely adorable rosetted Bengal male, born August 29, 2004 to Regional Winner Quad Champion Foothill Felines Mochamelo, and Simbaspride 'Major' Mews of Foothill Felines. Lesley B., who lives about an hour and a half away from us here in northern California, had been researching Bengals and visiting catteries, looking for the right kitten to add to her family. When she first visited us, she was at first more interested in our slightly older kittens, but she and her granddaughter fell in love with our sweet Mochamelo, and lo and behold, one of Mocha's gorgeous (but tiny) kittens picked out these two women and there was no doubt in anyone's mind that this was the kitten that Lesley would be going home with when he was old enough. She even picked out his name right away - "Cappy", short for Cappuccino!!! She visited as often as she could while Cappy was busy growing up.

Lesley has been fantastic about keeping us updated on Cappy, and participating in our Bengal Lover's Chat Board here at our website. Cappy's adorable face and Lesley's adorable personality and supportive posts have become a very important part of our online family. At Christmas, Lesley wrote us: "Dear Holly, I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to you and yours. We have had a very busy one with our 2 year old grandson and Cappy. Boy, what a match!!!! Cappy is so good with Jordan. Cappy has been such a joy for my husband Jim and I. He makes us laugh every day. He has grown alot and has alot of his mother in his face. I hope you have a peaceful holiday and know that you gave me a wonderful gift in this little man-cat." What a big boy Cappy is getting to be!! Lesley reported that he was over 6 pounds at 4 months old; 9 pounds at 5 months old, and is over 10 pounds at 6 months old!! In February, Lesley started sending us pictures. "Holly, I sure hope this works! Cappy is a beautiful boy and we just love him so much. He weighs around 9lbs now. He is always posing for pics and is very tolerant of my bad photo practices. Please let me know if you got these. Well, I must start my day as I've played all morning with 'guess who'???"

Lesley takes Cappy with her just about everywhere; at first in a little carry bag, and then in a special stroller!! What a lucky boy Cappy is!! We hope you'll enjoy some of the wonderful pictures of Cappy, sent to us by Lesley and Jim. What a peek into the life of a pampered little Bengal baby boy!! Oh and by the way ... the last picture was sent to us by Cappy himself: "Dear Holly, Mom and Dad just wanted to say hello and wish you a happy sunny day. I stayed out in the sun today in the daffodils. Mom took me in the stroller to the flea market and I was so good!! Tell Mocha that she trained me well. I am sending you a new pic of me. I weigh 10lbs 2oz now at 6 months old and am real long. I hope I can visit soon. Love, Cappy"
