FOOTHILL FELINES BLADE!!

Blade is now a very loved and pampered part of Matthew and Dawn's special family in Royal Oak, Michigan.

We received this lovely message from Matthew just after Blade had arrived: "Hi Holly! He is such a lover. He sleeps with me every night in the crook of my neck. We named him Blade and he runs right up to you when you call him by it, so I think he likes his name. My wife has been sleeping downstairs with our other Kitty to alleviate some of the trauma a new kitty could bring to her world. Looking forward to integrating our whole family together over the next couple weeks. I'll have pictures for you soon. Thank you so much, Blade has made me happier than ever."

And, Dawn wrote us a couple of weeks later, to tell us how everyone was getting along: "Blade has been such a wonderful addition to our family. He and our other kitten, "Rogue", have become very good friends. They run all over the house together. Sometimes they sound like a cattle stampede when they go up or down the stairs. Blade has doubled in size since he came. He is a very big eater!!! Rogue is one year and she only weighs 8 pounds. She is very petite. Blade is over five pounds and eats twice as much as her. We call him our pork belly kitten. We always sing the Roadrunner song to Blade except use Bladerunner. Blade has brought so much happiness and we are so very happy to have him."

Several months later, we received some new update photos of Blade and his constant companion, Rogue: "Hi, Holly - Here are a couple of Blade updates. It was difficult to get pictures of him alone. He and Rogue are best friends and are together all of the time. Hope the new kittens are doing well. If they are like Blade, you must be loving it!!" Last photos are of Blade at about one year old - all captions by Dawn and Matt N. They even have a live video cam set up for all Blade fans to be able to watch Blade near or on his beloved lion bed (which was his birthday present)!! Special photo by itself is of Blade with Dawn - no words are necessary!!
