FOOTHILL FELINES ASIA!!

Gloria D. of Scotts Valley, California, was very excited about adding a Bengal kitten to her home and family!! We knew we wanted to work with Gloria and her daughter the first time they visited our cattery. It was obvious that they adored our cats, and our cats felt the same way about them. We were so pleased when Macqui had her exceptional litter which included 3 gorgeous brown spotted females on May 3, 2002, so that we could offer this very special kitten to this family.

Gloria kept us updated even through a rather traumatic spay surgery, which she and Asia were able to come through together (relying on each other with lots of love and trust) with flying colors. Photos below show Asia at 5 months old, (first 3 pictures), and Asia at 6 months old, with her spay surgery behind her and looking like she has no more worries in the world!! We think she is a beautiful girl, and she surely does look like her beautiful mother, Macqui, doesn't she??! Gloria's pictures really show off her gold glittered coat.

Gloria also tells us that Asia goes with her to work every day, and enjoys travelling in the car with her, and at 6 months old is a sleek, long 7 pounds!! It sounds like the two of them are virtually inseparable!! After the last experience at the vet, Gloria wrote, "My poor kitty, she'll never trust me again when I put her in the carrier! When she's going to work with me, it's just the halter and leash; she knows her side of the car and sits in the seat or back window. I've been looking for a kitty car seat that can be buckled in, something that will raise her up so she can look out the window. I leave the carrier buckled in the back so she can go in it when she wants, but it's only at the vets when she gets in there. By the way, did I tell you the first time she got to the vets, they took a blood sample and gave her a shot, then when they put her back on the table she got in her carrier on her own, turned around then you saw this long furry arm come out, grab the door and slam it shut. The vet's assistants, my two kids and the doctor saw that one! Everyone just stopped, we couldn't believe it! It looked like something out of the movies -- sometimes I get the feeling she knows what I'm talking about, we've linked somehow!"
