Double Champion Manzanita was born on March 14, 2002, to our own Foothill Felines Madison, bred to an outstanding clear-coated, pelted marble male, Snopride Peyote of Bellbooknbengal. She was the first marble kitten to be born here at Foothill Felines in over a year, and we were so excited about her from the start. She has a gorgeous, very lovely face and head, with lovely small and rounded ears perfectly set. She is very affectionate and the minute anyone sits down in our living room, Manzanita is always the first one on their lap!! She seems to have built-in "radar" capabilities for finding empty laps!! Even Jim Brown of Pheline Photography couldn't resist giving her a squeeze (above) while I took the picture for a change at a TICA show in Reno, NV.

Manzanita (named for the native plant to California and also because "Madison and Manzanita" is a major intersection near where we live here in Sacramento) is very special to us, and was from birth. Such a beautiful kitten, and she grew into such a gorgeous adult. She won ribbons and awards in both TICA and ACFA; she holds her Double Champion title in ACFA. She has a thick, plush coat and beautiful tri-color chained marbling pattern. And that gorgeous face and head!! We appreciate the opportunity to work with Bellbooknbengal Cattery now in Fairfield, California, previous home of Manzanita's handsome sire. Manzanita has a delightful purr-sonality, and is extremely affectionate and loving. She was a fabulous mother and has had several beautiful litters for us. She is the mother of our Foothill Felines My Storm In a Teacup (aka "Teeny")!!
