Macqui was born
on January 27, 2000, to our own Gogees Marshamelo of Foothill
Felines, and Foothill Felines Metallica!! Our major goal as a
Bengal breeder for year 2000 was to add several very special,
top quality female Bengals to our program, and we were so excited
when Macqui was born!! She was, like Minnimelo, absolutely loaded
with glitter - in Macqui's case, it is gold glitter - plus, Macqui
had beautiful, big dark spots with the promise of rosetting to
come.

When we proudly showed our beautiful kitten off to our vet for the first
time, he told us very sadly that "she" was really a
"he" -- and we were devastated, of course!! We then
started calling our little kitten "Mac", and we had
another vet look at Mac and were also told that yes indeed, Mac
was definitely a little boy!! Well, we were just certain that
Mac was really a female, and when we tried to talk to proud mama Marshamelo about
it, she just smiled.... Time ultimately proved us right and both
our vets wrong, and Mac became "Macqui", (pronounced MACKIE) a name that does fit her very well, as she is quite the tomboy!!
Macqui is a delightful, extremely intelligent girl, with an outstanding pattern of large, rosetted dark spots, and a very glittered light golden pelt. She is truly one of the loveliest Bengals we have produced here at Foothill Felines Bengals to date. She and her sister/littermate Foothill Felines
Minnimelo are virtually inseparable, and enjoy romping, playing
and sleeping together!! Macqui is definitely the one in charge,
however (even though Minni is much larger and stronger), and her current passion is playing fetch with her rubber
ball, a game in which she is careful to include everyone in the room equally. She brings it right to us, and drops it on our foot!! And,
in case we aren't paying strict attention, she will mew at us
with her teeny tiny sweet little voice to get our attention. If
we are really not paying enough attention, we will also get a
gentle pat on our leg!! Photos on this page show Macqui at
