FOOTHILL FELINES MILTON II!!

The family of Rich Poeschel, right here near Sacramento, had a difficult decision last year when they decided it was time to add to their family, which includes Rich, his wife Karen, and their daughter Heather. And, oh yes...their 2 adult Bengals Star (an F-6) and Twinkle (an F-4), an older dog named Sparky, Heather's large pet snake, and an aquarium of lovely fish!! Many of Rich's beautiful photos grace our website, and he and his family have really shared in the growing up and picture taking of our babies with us over the past year. They ended up taking home a gorgeous, very sweet, very wild-looking kitten -- Foothill Felines Junior -- (CLICK HERE to see Junior's update page), and they absolutely adore him!! But, there had been another kitten that had also captured their hearts - the kitten we had first nicknamed "Milton". So, this year, when it turned out that we had another kitten who so closely resembled the first "Milton", both in looks and in temperament, voice and habits, there was little doubt that Milton II would somehow end up in the Poeschel household!!

The all-important first few days with Milton II went like this: "We love him -- he is so beautiful. He did not make a single peep on the way home. I have never had any cat in a moving car that did not meow. I remember how Junior meowed, meowed, and MEOWED on the way home. Karen thought Milton was to small to jump up on our high bed and that he would not be able to sleep with us. Well to Karen's surprise Milton found that he could jump from the cat tree to the bed. Sure enough he spent a wonderful night cuddling Karen. He is just so wonderful. He has our bedroom to himself for now. He has only met Sparky who sleeps in a carrier in the bed room also. Milton got a bush tail when he saw Sparky locked in his box. I am a little concerned about Milton meeting Junior. Junior has become a big powerful cat. I have been petting Milton in the bed room and then going out and petting the other cats in hopes they will get used to Milton's smell. Thank you, for the loves of our lives."

Here is what they had to say about Milton II after one week: "We have been spending the evenings introducing Milton to his new play-mates. Every thing is going great. Junior really wants to play and allows Milton to chase him around the family room. There is still some hissing but every body seems to be getting along well." At the one year milestone, this was the word from Rich: "Milton II is doing very well. He still spends most of his time in our bed room. He seems quite content. He does come down most every day to play with the other cats. Junior some times spends the night with Milton. Milton is so beautiful. He is also a big talker and he fetches!" Here is Milton II, at 14 weeks old exploring and getting acquainted with a very interested 8 1/2 months old Junior; and finally as a handsome teenager at 5 months old!!
